I think it will help the consumer. The 3G iphone is rumored to be $199 with 2 
year contract, so those who wait will benefit with better equipment at a 
cheaper price. Also look out for the new blackberry bold. The new 9000 series 
looks sweet. It has a much better screen (not touch though:() and also has 
wi-fi built in which is what I wanted o my 8830
