Unfortunately the 3G network AT&T has in the states is more like 2.5G im
not sure about the Asian market, or Europe. But even in major metro
areas like Manhattan, majority of iphone users are not getting anywhere
near their money's worth. It also doesn't make much sense to roam the
city looking for a wireless hotspot (free or otherwise) just to listen
to FM radio

true, since most of the radios are available over the internet, one
could always just stream over the wifi/3G link. there is an app called
iradio that was reviewed a while back,that could do the same.
