I didn't like the tone of the article. I guess Apple is trying to say that
because of their increasing popularity users should consider installing
anti-virus software to stop the spread of malicious programs. Hackers may be
writing more malicious programs to take advantage of bugs in Apple's OS but
the main concern may be spreading malicious programs to windows.

No system is totally secure, and anti virus software is always 1 step behind
viruses. it is the nature of the business. maybe with Macs becoming close to
%10 of the overall home PC market then this is a good enough reason for the
architecture to be targeted.
