The potential pay-off is bigger if the product is successful. I think litigation is an official line of business in companies of such sizes - especially regarding copyright / patent infringement. Normally they won't bother you if your company (or the product itself) is still small. Why shut you down now (and earn nothing) when you could potentially earn them $Xmillion if they let you develop the product for 5 more years? Regards, Gerald
