What a complete and utter disaster, particularly KDE. Again, SuSE have chosen to release a version of KDE that shouldn't be anywhere in the wild.
KDE PIM is massively broken - for some reason unbeknownst to me, it appears the KDE team believe that even tighter integration of KMail and Akonadi is bound to make things better. To make matters worse, any migration from KMail-1 to KMail-2 will almost certainly end in pain and suffering. I've been fighting with the thing since Thursday, and I just decided to rollback to 11.4. I'm happy. Plus, 12.1 boots slow (seems like a kernel bug), on the order of 10 minutes, on my VMware Fusion machine, and takes even longer do shutdown (didn't wait around after 10 minutes). Best of luck to you brave souls trying 12.1, especially if you use KMail and others. Given how bad things have become, I need to start looking for a solution within Mac for my mail, as I doubt KDE will be removing Akonadi from this whole mix anytime soon. Mark.
