What would be handy is: - changing all properties of the domain - change who manages the domain (so the local registrar) And that requires some sort of procedure with AUTH-IDs eg)
Having different prices for registrars would be great. Having to compete with CFI at the same price as they sell to consumers is a nightmare, both financially as well as with people who have no clue and just register the domain with them and then expect us to solve the mess. A Drupal ecommerce module that would use the API would be great as a bonus :-) rgds, reinier On Thursday 22 March 2012 01:21:06 Boaz Shani -Gmail - Kla wrote: > Hi All > > > > I am not sure how many of you here are local registrars with CFI or ever > worked around to set local domains on the CFI interface . > > > > As you may know I had a meeting with CFI and they are actually willing to > work around many changes - that includes reducing the cost of local domains > to 10-15$ > > > > As I have been chatting with CFI about several things I decided to bring up > the following question into the group - > > > > What would you expect the new control panel of domain management to include > / change / add / etc. ? > > > > For example right now there is only space for name servers and it is not so > user friendly to navigate in . > > > > I do believe that some of you have been exposed to other domain panels and I > would like to get your feedback in which I would share with CFI later on > > > > It would be interesting to learn other opinions. > > > > BTW - one of the other new things CFI will introduce with the new price > scheme would be API to various registrars . > > > > Boaz Shani > > > > Mobile +256 (0) 752 50 60 90 > > Skype boazshlaptop > > G-Talk - [email protected] > > Messenger - [email protected] > > > > Social Media: > > Facebook <http://www.facebook.com/boazshani> Twitter > <http://www.twitter.com/boazshani> LinkedIn > <http://ug.linkedin.com/pub/boaz-shani/14/a78/34> G+ > <http://gplus.to/BoazShani> -- rgds, Reinier Battenberg Director Mountbatten Ltd. www.mountbatten.net tel: +256 758 801749 twitter: @batje _______________________________________________ The Uganda Linux User Group: http://linux.or.ug Send messages to this mailing list by addressing e-mails to: [email protected] Mailing list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Mailing list settings: http://kym.net/mailman/listinfo/lug To unsubscribe: http://kym.net/mailman/options/lug The Uganda LUG mailing list is generously hosted by INFOCOM: http://www.infocom.co.ug/ The above comments and data are owned by whoever posted them (including attachments if any).
