I think CFI should develop the concept of CFI Accredited Registrars who get .UG domains at a cheaper rate than the CFI standard rate.
Overall, I would suggest a fully Integrated Domain Management API functionality that lets registrars/resellers order and manage domains in a fully automated way, from registrations to advanced domain management. The concept of domain transfer between CFI Accredited Registrars should also be implemented. This will require Domain AUTHO /EPP Codes for .UG domains to be implemented *API Features list;* 1. Automatic Registration 2. Nameservers Management 3. Domain Locking that can be turned on/off to protect domains from transfers away to another registrar/reseller. 4. Real-Time Domain Availability Checking 5. WHOIS Information 6. Automatic Renewals (using online payment systems e.g PayPal) 7. AUTHO/EPP Code Retrieval -- Arguably, I know a little bit about SQL. If pushed, or if offered reasonable sums of money, I may confess to knowing something about DB2 or JCL. Under no circumstances, or only if offered totally outrageous sums, will I admit to knowing anything about Oracle, or Sybase.
