That's a good question. In the states I can understand that the option disappears when you don't have a tethering plan (since we are post paid mobile contracts) and then reappears when you add tethering to your monthly bill. But here in Uganda I'm guessing orange network for whatever reason can't handle it. And they actively seek out iPhone users and block them.
Funny thing is the Gardner at home told me in his extremely broken English that I shouldn't have registered my device and instead just bought a standard sim and cut it to fit the micro slot. That maybe orange won't notice LOL Sent from my mobile device On May 14, 2012, at 9:25 AM, Okello <[email protected]> wrote: > Am Sunday 13 May 2012 22:51:45 schrieb Sanga Collins: > >> Is there another carrier (in uganda) that supports the iPhone 4s, sells >> micro sims and will not disable my tethering options? > > On my Android tablet it works fine with Warid and Airtel.
