Dear all, I know some one has been able to use this modem on Ubuntu according to the google searches I have come across but the luck those people came across, has not been my luck. I have tried to use sakis3g but fails at detecting a connected modem device. I have also tried to use wvdial but it also fails with : ~ # wvdial --> WvDial: Internet dialer version 1.61 --> Cannot open /dev/modem: No such file or directory --> Cannot open /dev/modem: No such file or directory --> Cannot open /dev/modem: No such file or directory I have the most recent usb_modeswitch according to my OS distribution. My guess is that the computer is failing to mount the device as a modem, but when I checked /lib/udev/rules.d/40-usb_modeswitch.rules i found a line linking to ZTE MF190 series, which I think should be enough to let it run. >From the many directions from the simple searches I have done, I think I have reached the end of ma thinking capacity, turning to you for help. I am desperate for help. -- Kind regards; KTM +256752602550||+256782062708 "Mother of God-Pray for us sinners"
