Thank you for the quick response.
Sorry, I forgot to provide this info, but when I do an ls in /dev/, I
get:
# ls /dev/tty

A thing that shows there is no USB device detected.
>From the different forum I have been doing the reading, I see other
people's same modem being detected as ttyACM0-2 but mine has nothing in
that line. Doing a lsusb also gives some info but I cannot use it..
 # lsusb
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 8087:0024 Intel Corp. Integrated Rate Matching
Hub
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 8087:0024 Intel Corp. Integrated Rate Matching
Hub
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 5986:03b3 Acer, Inc
Bus 001 Device 010: ID 19d2:1517 ONDA Communication S.p.A.

I can see that the last line belongs to the modem but I cannot find no
file under /etc/usb_modeswitch.d/ which I am supposed to modify as some
one did it to make his work.
