Thank you so much, I have tried to create a new connection under network manager but I realised I couldn't add one since the 'configure' button was inactive as the Mobile Broadband was disconnected. I tried to use Sakis3G which complained that the modem device was busy with another process (861). On killing the process, Sakis3G worked properly, and finally I got internet on the lapi. Problem is, some applications are not recognizing the internet. My evolution (email editor) has refused to detect that the machine has internet. On checking 'network connections' under configurations of evolution, I cannot also edit it to pick internet from sakis3g. It is only looking at the system defaults (which don't appreciate sakis) then direct internet connection which also doesn't work and finally a proxy. Should I configure this as a proxy? Then how? Should re-installing network manager work? Right now am relegated to webmail! On 13 April 2013 18:07, Benjamin Tayehanpour <[email protected]>wrote:
