Our approach is very simple. The computer belongs to the company. Visit any
sites you want (porn, gambling, violence etc are blocked). Every website you
visit is recorded and the information can be used in any disciplinary action
against the employee at the discretion of their manager or supervisor.

In other words: We are watching :)

I know, sounds easier than it is, but implementing a firewall rule will not

This, times a million. Trying to cordon off the Internet is not only not
very effective, but also has a social impact one may want to avoid.
Employees will feel as though they are not trusted to fulfil their duties
even if non-work-related sites are occasionally browsed. You might as well
forbid newspapers, black out the windows, and hire a principal-like guard
strolling behind everyone's backs, supervising everyone's work. That's
basically how it's going to feel, and it's *not* very productive. They're
not children, and not adversaries, so don't treat them thus.
