I will be closely following your notes, as I intend to set up a fault
tolerant Lustre configuration on Ubuntu 6.06 LTS 2-3 weeks from now. My
configuration will be:
* 3 Sun X4200 machines (2x Opteron, 4G mem, dual qlogic FC cards)
* 3 one TB SAN volumes (all can see all), but we can re-carve this
up if necessary (haven't decided on Lustre config details yet)
If successful, this will be initially used to back a fault tolerant LAMP
infrastructure. But may eventually end up being a general purpose
fault-tolerant centralized data store.
Also, if we are successful with Lustre on Ubuntu, I will be interested
in purchasing support. Is support currently available, or a future
possibility for Ubuntu?
