Sometimes, presumeably due to sweat, my left fingertips stick
to the strings. The friction degrades my technique.

This happens, of course, just when I'm most desperate
to play well (concerts, lessons, ...). At home I'm
just fine.

I don't think my fingertips are dirty, because I
can wipe them on a mirror and leave no streaks.
Also, I wash/rinse/dry carefully.

I don't think the strings are gummy, because the
friction is the same on the "pristine" section
between the 12th fret and the rose.

Below is a list of possible/tried solutions. Ideas or
comments?

   Right Guard (Does not work.)
Fingerease string lube (Would it cause the strings to go dead?)
   prescription antiperspirants
   iontophoresis (Home machines available.)
   a $5k surgical procedure (Cutting/clamping nerves.)
