Yes, Robert DeVisee was a guitarist/theorbist.  However, in the Vaudry de 
Saizenay MS, there are many pieces transcribed for lute, and they are very 
beautiful.  Whether or not he played lute is debatable, but music for the 
lute has been passed down to us from that MS.
