Well I connected my JBL On Tour, very basic, but the speakers are small and quite fast. To my ears, the first version with no reverb, while dry, gives better information in the treble. Perhaps, I am biassed, the three you like are not too reverberant, but personally, I would try recording from different distances, and with slightly different mike angles, as suggested by DvO. I am sure the reverb solution is quicker, but possibly with a little tweaking, you might soften the sound with natural reverb.

If you could bear hearing it again (it's driving me crazy!) I've
uploaded three new versions, one tweaked by Alexander Batov which I
really like, and two by Tony Chalkley which are also excellent. I have the same software (Nero) as Alexander, so that looks promising, but the
Glaceverb used by Tony is very professional, but would mean another
   learning curve...it never ends.

I'll do another take tomorrow at a greater distance. The present one
was done about 2 feet from the mics.
