Howard, I would ask for a professional luthier to look at it, because it was repaired in the past, and the attempt failed. I do not know the exact nature of the "fracture", but I can guess that if you glued it together, and it seemed OK, but failed with string tension? .You could try again, but if your repair work is as bad as mine, you could make matters worse.
