Hi Ned! About my strings... I have to admit I am kind of a heretic. I have my lute= =20 strung fully synthetic, namely in Savarez-KF strings. The frets are also=20 synthetic, for that I use a variant of fluor-carbon normally used for fishi= ng.
If I remember correctly, others on this list see the KF strings as too "bel= l=20 like" in sound, which actually might be true. I just like it that way. Gues= s I=20 am a hidden harper (harpist? harpenist?) or something.=20 On the other hand, at least I don't have to re-tune my instrument if I=20 accidentially breathe on the strings. ;-) Best greetings from Austria Wolfgang K=FChn PS: I hope I got the weird character-errors in my mails to the list sorted= =20 out...
