I'm forwarding your recommendations on to my guitarist/would-be-lutenist 
friend.  It's good to know that there are a number of fine lute makers here.   
(I do wish that at least one were down in this neck of the woods; have just 
reglued the pegbox to one of my instruments for the third time!  I was clumsy 
once, others contributed the other times).
