In the complete digital edition it is item 192. "Per illud ave" is a very popular intabulation in the lute repertory. What you are seeing in the tablature is a version adapted for plucked strings with idiomatic changes in rhythm, a very common characteristic of intabulated vocal music. It's actually very interesting to see the way intabulators modified the music, for instance in Fuenllana's many duos for which we can find vocal scores. I think Fuenllana's adaptation of the Benedictus duo from Josquin's Missa Pange lingua is much better music than Josquin's original. Herbert, I imagine your questions arise in attempting to sort out the several points of dissonance in Valderrabano's tablature. The best thing you can do to gain an understanding of the piece is transcribe the tablature into notation on two staves. I appreciate the recent help with "Per illud ave". But the piece suggested by the people here in this forum does not match the piece in Damiani's book.
