I have a T480s and unfortunately, one of the USB-C ports become
damaged. It looks like one of the internal pins has become dislodged or
something, and preventing the plug going in.

I don't know how this happened, means the port is unusable. And means
the docking station I got for the computer is no longer usable for this
computer.

I did try to get Lenovo to fix this under warranty, but they refused,
saying it was obviously physical abuse. But I don't recall any such
incident that could explain in.

Lenovo also tried to lay the blame - without any evidence - on me using
a substandard USB-C connector. Saying I should only every plug in
authorized Lenovo USB-C connectors or I would be risking damaging the
connector.

I also complained about the common problem - one that I have seen on all
of my Thinkpads - of scratch marks from the keyboard on the display, and
they gave the same refusal, and gave a quote of over $2K to fix both
issues.

I asked how much just to fix the USB-C port, and never got an answer.
