We use the corporate ThinkPad T14s at work and they have been generally
rock solid. There was a particular batch in the early Gen 4 series that had
issues with the power circuitry that Russel alluded to earlier in the
thread.

Inside the casing where the USB-C ports are is a small, maybe 1" square,
circuit board that does the power handling and routing. This batch in
question had either poorly attached USB-C sockets or a faulty power
regulator. Lenovo quickly fixed them under warranty as and when they showed
issues.

Mind you, the way I've observed some users inserting and removing their
USB-C cables didn't help!
