We need a replacement for pavucontrol - something that's actually *better* than the horrible pavucontrol UI would be even better. This is something I brought up a few times but never amounted to anything. Regarding web browsers, the latest Chromium is actually running on a very light gtk shim (Aura) and looks pretty great I have to say; feels much lighter and some of the horrible gtk2 bugs have been fixed along with it. Firefox does have an ongoing qt port but I've not actually been able to find out any information regarding that (nor what exactly they're trying to do with it...) J.
