I'm trying to ween myself off the KDE desktop so I flip between it and lxqt. I use the plasma panel on the LHS with autohide and the main apps I have in my Quicklaunch are Chromium, Thunderbird, SystemSettings, Transmission-qt, Kcalc, Ksnapshot, Kate, Dolphin, Akregator and SMplayer. I remove activities and have 6 virtual desktops and Konsole is already open on desk 1 from a manually saved session. Other apps like Gwenview, Krita and Okular get launched via mime.types so I rarely start them up, so they don't even make it to my secondary kmenu favourites area. FWIW my point being is I rarely have to use the app menu to launch other apps and Kcalc is something I use regularly enough to deserve a primary Quicklaunch position. To me it should be a default OS app. BTW I can't use the lxqt screenshot app because it doesn't do rectangular selections, just fullscreen and windows. I still use Dolphin because of it's split window dual pane layout (drag n drop from one to the other) and the font rendering in Juffed is not good enough, compared to Kate, to dogfood it. However Qterminal can replace Konsole. Just some of my personal observations. > If someone is up for this, please let me know and I'll create a qcalc > team and repo on QtDesktop. I need to start somewhere so sign me up and I'll try to find some time. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "Accelerate Dev Cycles with Automated Cross-Browser Testing - For FREE Instantly run your Selenium tests across 300+ browser/OS combos.
