If you go to the [LXLE support page][1] it seems to suggest that using LXDE resources is a good way to get support. The LXDE project should not be considered a primary resource for end-user support for LXLE, Lubuntu, or any other distro providing LXDE.
Admittedly, upstream projects are often a good place to seek resources, but the primary point of contact should be the distro itself. Recently, a user came into the #lxle channel on Freenode looking for a particular LXLE image. This obviously does not fall under the domain of LXDE. One good way to resolve this would be to separate the primary forms of support (those related specifically to LXLE) and additional releases, perhaps making it clear that LXDE does not provide official support for the project. Additionally, there's a broken link on that page to the LXDE IRC. It should be noted that the primary channel for LXDE (GTK) support is #lxde on OFTC, while the primary channel for LXQt support is on #lxde on Freenode.
