Could be as well the renaming text.C -> Text.C on Windows using FAT or
NTFS and the 'usual' svn clients. Both the default svn command line
client and TortoiseSVN don't handle that situation gracefully (although there is no technical reason why they can't...)

Nah... I use TortoiseSVN on an NTFS partition and I never had a single major problem in the renaming saga. I think the problems were mainly due to autotools/scons not being up to date.

As I used CMake with the glob approach, I was safe most of the time.
