The exports run in parallel. It then makes sense that my iMac, which has a slower disk, gives more problems. It seems I can only run one of the exports. Too bad. My idea was that if you always save pdf and latex, you can view the pdf on platforms that do not have LyX, and edit the LaTeX. My main usage scenario would be an iPad, but it could also apply if you use a computer that does not have LyX installed.
