I doubt we are going to change this by default, but if you want it for
your local build, just change the following:
// Hide tabbar if there's only one tab.
showBar(count() > 1);
If the tabbar was handled as a toolbar, it could have on/off/auto
properties. I am not sure that such a thing is possible, though.
