Scott, Now I'm thoroughly confused. The Additional document uses KOMA-Script book class and Check TeX appears on the Tools menu. Wonder why it does not appear on my document? Have you any thoughts on how I can track the source of this discrepancy? With nothing in the preamble it still does not appear on the Tools menu. Thanks, Rich
