Yes, I took some time to finally enable tex2lyx to handle the beamer
format we have since LyX 2.0 (especially the "overlay" inset stuff).
The work is finished, has landed in master and will be part of stable
at least with LyX 2.3.2 (depending on how urgent a 2.3.1 will be). Most
beamer presentations should be imported now without problems (but there
might be corner cases I have missed).
