Hello,
I’m experiencing the same issue. It seems that after some time (several
hours), LyX 2.5.0 becomes slow and does not respond properly. I have
noticed that typing or selecting text takes much longer than usual, as do
other actions such as switching from math mode to text mode. The problem is
resolved by closing and reopening the program.

I am working on Windows 11. I have a laptop with 32 GB of RAM, so the issue
is not due to a lack of memory. I have opened the Task Manager and noticed
what might be an excessive use of memory by LyX. After several hours, it
uses around 350 MB. When I open the program with three documents at the
same time, it is at about half that (157 MB).
On the other hand, when I open the Code Preview Panel, memory usage jumps
to 250 MB. If I then close the panel, the memory usage remains the same and
does not decrease.
