Second of all, most lists don't like to have people attach files to
messages -- even small files -- because many list subscribers pay for their
connect time at a rate they consider expensive. Posting messages with
attachments costs them money. Therefore, I've learned in my two decades of
on-line communications that it's better to err (if there is any error
involved) by _not_ posting attachments to a mail list unless specifically
requested to do so.

Thank you. That's not the examples I saw, but I will re-arrange the field.

Thank you. I'll make these changes, too.

Good advice for beginners. I've been working with computers since 1962.
I've run my business using linux since 1977. Ergo, I don't believe that I
fall in the "beginners" category. Have you ever used a line-oriented editor
on a compter, say TDP on an HP-3000? Try it some time. That's what I used
for my dissertation 24 years ago, and it printed on a Diablo electronic
typewriter where I had to feed pages one at a time.

Making assumptions is not a good thing to do.

  Thank you.
