I have some problems with the speed of Lyx 1.5 (beta). Maybe it occurred after the installation of MikTex 2.6. A 10-page document takes approx. 35 sec. to compile and display with Yap. The same document in WinEdt takes only 9 sec. on my notebook.Is this normal, or may there be something wrong in my system?
Are you sure WinEdit compiles your tex file multiple times to make indices, citations etc correctly typeset? You can see from the status bar that how many times lyx runs latex. Cheers, Bo
