Especially mathematicians _love_ toys. Home made ones even. And they
love colourings.

See above ;-)

I get the impression that somebody is thinking far too much...

PS: Berlin just spent a six-digit sum on finding a new slogan for city
marketing. The outcome is 'beberlin'. Of course now everybody thinks
that Berlin wants to be the capital of stutterers...

PPS: A while ago "my" univerity spend 40k DM (~20kEUR) for a similar
campaign, ending up with a "different" green for the main website, and a
font that had to be paid for _per user seat_ that mainly differed in the
form of a few rarely used letters from good old Arial and its clones...

PPPS: That was about the time when they decided to renumber university
to 1,2,3,4 because it's hard to explain to strangers why they were
numbered 1,3,4,7 before. Of course, changing the traffic signs in the
city was too expensive, so the renumbering was done only "internally".
Now they keep wondering why people look for "University Part 4" in
opposite corners of the town...

PPPS: Don't get me started on "Image Campaigns"...
