Rubin, Yes the path is in the environment. The problem may be that the installer cannot handle the space in the path — Miktex is installed in: c:\Program Files(x86)\Miktex 2.7\Miktex\bin Note: It is an x64 machine hence the (x86) in the path for 32 bit programs. This problem was not in the official installer for V1.6.1-1
