BibLaTeX IS your man. As LyX is.
just 1 question: did you put
\bibliography{mybibfile}
in the preamble, after the above lines?
In my case (WinXP) it works only if I insert the ENTIRE path (C:/MyFolder...)
Anyway, it's funny:
I never have been able to have BibLaTeX work with plain LaTeX
without LyX.
Seems that LyX can show LaTeX the right .bib path.
Tell me ifit works.
