I went a little different route with mixed success. I bought some high
capacity capacitors. They worked perfectly in my 102 and 8201. But when I
tried one in my 200 it wouldn't turn off, so I had to remove it and go back
to the a NiCad battery. The longest test I tried with the AA batteries
removed was 4 days and it still held everything in memory. A far cry from
what the original battery provides but plenty for me. I don't think it's a
solution for most, but I take a bit of comfort in never having to worry
about my motherboards being damaged by a leaking NiCad.
