Some thoughts. First, you may just need to let the NiCd charge for a but. 
Second, check the protect switch on the bottom of the laptop.

I'm not sure I would recommend the seller since I ordered these about a month 
ago and sadly they have not arrived from China yet. But it's the right type of 
battery.
