Careful there are several variations of MS120. The laser/Wand Emulation version is just one. VDD is the same VDD as the rest of the machine, +5v return signal is the same, ie ttl. You can use oil-based stamp-pad ink to re-ink the ribbon, until it mechanically wears out from the beating. (not wd-40!) I will order one of the 192883.... In addition to the carriage I did use WD-40 on the MP-105 ribbon; I have used it on others as well and wasn't aware of anyreason not to do so. I think it lubricates the printhead pins and loosens up dried ink so it cantransfer to the page. If I'm in error (odds-on favorite) please illuminate. I have heard of using stamp-pad ink but I have a MacInker and lifetime supply of ink (which has congealed somewhat and will also need dilution). The MacInker is somewhat unwieldy and one day I hope to build a better ink distribution system. I have all kinds of printers using inked ribbons. Thank you again for your reply. -CH-
