My main problem with my DMP-105 is that the sponge in the ribbon, while soaked
with plenty of ink, is deteriorating into tiny chunks. It might be OK if it
would rotate, but it also has a flat spot from storage and it only rotates
until it hits the flat spot and then sits there with the ribbon dragging across
it (and taking off small chunks in the process).
I've thought about making a new sponge and I got some foam which is a little
less dense than the original sponge but haven't undertaken an attempt at doing
so yet. Has anyone else tackled this?
