When I put it on a desk, I either prop it on "Peg Leggs" (Peter Noeth, a list member here, makes carefully crafted legs that work perfectly) or set it on an aluminum "laptop stand" that's frankly a bit high for typing for more than a few minutes at a time. Normally, I type with it on my lap. I have the advantage, though, that I tend to sit cross-legged which gives me a bit more room to place the thing. In general, though, I find that regardless of where I place the computer the key to avoiding a stiff neck has always been choosing good lighting and carefully adjusting the LCD twist.
