In fact, the short cuts are Right Option key plus T and Right Option key plus 
U. You need to go into VoiceOver Utility (VO-F8) and enable the Keyboard 
Commander which you'll find under the Commanders category.

You have a trackpad since you have a MacBook Pro. All Mac laptops have a 
trackpad which replaces the mouse. You also have a Trackpad Commander which 
will allow you to operate your MacBook Pro using gestures. The trackpad is that 
rectangle below the space bar, and pressing it will perform a mouse click.
