But even on our 4G connection and our 3G connection it's still very fast from our servers. Of course, if you're using gmail I can understand it being somewhat slower given how many use that facility. We always disable downloading copies of the message for offline viewing because we never have the need to view messages off line. Others may differ, of course. But doing it this way allows us to perfectly synchronise our devices which, after all, is the primary advantage of IMAP.
