I have two Western digital My book drives, and one western digital my passport portable drive, which is 500 gigabytes, and is powered by the USB port of the computer. All three are compatible with both Windows and Mac. I would recommend a my passport, because it's pretty small. You can carry it around in a purse, or pocket. It's only around three quarters of an inch thick, and is probably four or five inches by four inches. It's plenty fast enough, even at 5400 RPM. It also looks good! They aren't very expensive, either.

Will an external hard drive work equally well on both types of computer? Is one kind better than another/ easier to use??? thanks, Ann <--- Mac Access At Mac Access Dot Net ---> To reply to this post, please address your message to [email protected] You can find an archive of all messages posted to the Mac-Access forum at either the list's own dedicated web archive: <http://mail.tft-bbs.co.uk/pipermail/mac-access/index.html> or at the public Mail Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/>.
