I have to correct something here. I do believe Apple supplies you with some 
kind of warranty for a refurbished unit, and mountain lion works with many Macs 
released before 2011. This last piece of misinformation is extremely unhelpful. 
There are specific max which are no longer supported, but many older one still 
are. That being said, performance would obviously Be better on a newer Mac.
