So, what exactly is the biggest difference, aside from CCC being free, where

No need to feel dumb or anything like it, it was an innocent mistake which
anybody could have made. In all probability I didn't explain well enough
in the first instance, hence the error.
But yes, you are quite correct in your assertion of Super Duper! as an
almost "must-have" utility. That, along with Carbon Copy Cloner, ar
definitely amongst the "Best In Class" utilities for Mac OS X.
