Yes. However, I have had a chat with the developer and only certain file types can be recovered. He says that's how data recovery systems work these days, although I find that somewhat difficult to believe so I am taking it with a grain of salt. OK, maybe a couple of grains of salt. :)
I'm not sure, so maybe he's right and maybe different applications can recover different data. All the same, I'm still kind of coming down on the side of the old favourite, Alsoft Disk Warrior which rebuilds the directory structure. That isn't quite the same as conventional data recovery which, as this application does. scans the physical surface of the disk on a sector by sector level.
