Yeah as mentioned it's a bug in the latest ios7. Ttrust me. There is a thread about this on applevis, it's there blog entry on what's new in ios. You can see the comments there and several people have the bug. it's as though the focus is not o on the app switcher but still on the home screen. This is why I'm not updating to ios7.1 as of yet, that and the keyboard issues.
