Huh! that's? weird? the only thing I can think of, is, maybe the drive
somehow didn't properly partition to be bootable. Did you make the
partition have a G U I D scheme?

Interesting. i can see the memorystick when I go into computer, but I don’t
see it as an option in the startup disk thing in system preferences … I’ll
try holding down the letter u though and seeing if that works.
