When you're alone on your node. I was on cable for a long while and always
noticed a serious (i.e.: slower than my 56k modem) between 8-9 am and 3-5 pm
(kids on the network playing afterschool games of Quake, I think).

Then I moved to my college's residence where I had a T1 - came home to cable
and found it kind of sucked. Switched to ADSL and now have near T1 speeds,
with no traffic slowdowns.
